The upper part features a well-defined square geometry, organized in three rows of three Aquamarines, for a total weight of approximately over 2.00 ct., placed side-by-side in a setting that forms the main motif of the jewel. The Aquamarines are separated by shaped metal elements that form a lattice, with small groups of Diamonds inserted at the connection points between the different gems. Particularly interesting is the interplay between the blue surfaces of the Aquamarines and the small Diamonds placed in the interstices, which introduce closely spaced points of light within the geometric structure. The entire perimeter of the square structure is also covered with round brilliant-cut Natural Diamonds, for approximately 0.85 ct. in total, with particularly dense work that also follows the corners of the setting. The diamond-set edge and the internal structure, with the metal elements between the Aquamarines, create geometric passages that give greater depth to the upper part. The upper part of the ring is raised from the shank and features an underlying structure shaped to support the square motif, also visible from the side and characterized by openings on the setting.
